“As long as men massacre animals, they
will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seeds of murder and pain cannot
reap the joy of love.”

World Peace Diet |
Depending on your level of commitment, you might drop not only eggs and dairy from your diet, but honey, certain medicines, and even camera film (which is processed with animal products). You might also choose to avoid any products that were tested on animals. You've got to be vigilant, checking food labels for hidden dairy products, such as milk in bread and gelatin in vitamin capsules.
For most people, the vegan choice is based on a desire to
reduce the suffering of animals in the world and to protect the environment.
Others start out on the vegan path to protect their health. Animal products are
filled with cholesterol and fat, and may also contain hormones and chemicals
that were given to the animal to speed its growth and ward off the diseases
that come with factory farming. Factory
farming also uses a lot of valuable natural resources such as water and grains.
These resources, when used to feed humans, could eliminate much of world
hunger, rather than going to produce meat products that feed only a few.
As far as health goes, the consumption of animal fats and
proteins has been linked to heart disease, colon and lung cancer, osteoporosis,
diabetes, kidney disease, hypertension, obesity, and a number of other adverse
health conditions. Cow's milk, for example, is meant only for calves, and is
not easily digested by humans. That's why so many people are lactose
intolerant. Other animals don't drink the milk of unrelated species in the
wild, so why do we? A vegan diet will not only improve your health, it will
actually protect it from a number of potentially harmful conditions.
To live in this world there's never been a better time to
make the vegan choice. Go vegan and improve your health AND the world peace!
